2.Beethoven
3.Steve Jobs
4.Christopher Columbus
5.William Shakespeare
6.Nelson Mandela

How many pictures did you guess correctly? What was the reaction when you saw the names? For most of you it would have been something along the lines of "oohhhh...I know them". You may not have been familiar with their pictures, but you would have definitely heard of their names, wouldn’t you? Who are these people? What comes to your mind when you hear these names? What have they done? Aren't these some of the people who have made a great difference in this world? In other words, Legends of our times!!!.

How did they become Legends? And why can't we? Albert Einstein, a genius but once a failure in school, he never gave up, and ended up as the person who found out the theory of relativity. Beethoven lost his hearing but managed to produce some of the greatest music pieces of all times. Even deafness could not stop him, as he devoted his soul to the music which he loved the most. Steve Jobs a person who did a revolutionary change to Information Technology and Mobile. He was fired from the company he co-founded, but managed to take it over again as he was a believer of success and a person with determination. Christopher Columbus, an explorer who had the courage and braveness to battle the challenges he faced while voyaging. William Shakespeare, a thinker and a great writer who actually made readers believe that the characters in his fictions were true. Nelson Mandela, a humanitarian and a leader who was able to forgive the people who made him a prisoner and went on to became one of the best Presidents in the world.

Do you think that they have ever thought they would be legends one day? Legends are not born, but become. There are lots of people who were born and gone, but only a few names are remembered. The reason is that they did their best on what they were good at. They were committed and devoted to what they were doing. They never gave up no matter how hard they were let down or whatever the disappointments they had. They were brave and courageous enough to face the challenges they met and to overcome it. Becoming famous is only temporary, but the names of legends will last forever.

What do you want to become? Just a foot note in this world to be forgotten or a legend? Think and Act.

Five Qualities of a good leader

Hey Everyone as the 1st post on my blog I thought of sharing some tips on how to be a good Leader. Hope this will help you to become a good leader.

1. A Leader Must Set An Example -
If you want your members to follow and listen to you, show it! Go the extra mile if you have to. Take care of each of your member. Make them feel that they are important.

You can not keep on talking forever you should show the results.Your members will not follow you blindly Another area where results must be shown is all the meetings and strategy discussions. You can have a thousand strategy meetings but if there are no results – useless.Always work with the members and be with them.

2.A Leader Must Be Humble -
Be Humble. Not because you are leader, you can do whatever you want and demand from your members anything that you want. Humility can bring you, your members, and your organization to successes that no one of you ever imagined.Humbleness keeps the followers impressed and motivates to help you.

3.Followers Are Assets NOT Liabilities -
Always remember that they are assets not liabilities. Tap their abilities and skills! You can not do it alone! You can not learn all the things needed to make your organization successful! Don’t carry it all, share it with your members.

4.Be Flexible and Sensitive -
This is one good sign of a good leader, flexibility to different things. Being flexible doesn’t mean you must be for all areas all the time. Rather it is about knowing and deciding when to bend a little and give way to something.
How will you know that you are doing good as a leader if you are not sensitive to your members? For all you know, you are their problem already! This is specially true when demanding something from your members. If your members can not do what you are demanding of them, it is time to know what the problem is.

5.Have Fun -
Finally, have fun. A leader that is too serious is not good either. You need to have fun and put that smile on your face – a real, genuine smile. Why? Fighting the stress. Whether you like it or not, we will all feel the stress of running an organization and being in an organization.Always when you accept challenges with a smile and when you enjoy what you are doing no matter the stress you are in you, followers and the organization will gain a lot.
